Boldt Castle is a Great Day Trip destination that is only accessible by boat, but don't worry Uncle Sam Boat tours goes there every 30 minutes and doesn't cost too much for the suttle. My advise is to buy the combo ticket and go over and see the boathouse that is on Wellesley Island.

Clayton Distillery is right on route 12 on the way to Clayton and has a great selection of moonshine to sample or bring home. My personal favorite is enjoying a Cherry Shine Slushy on on their terrace!

Coyote Moon Vineyards The Riverside store offers some great river views and always a great atmosphere, and the vineyard location also has a great setting and events throughout the summer.

River Golf Putt Putt
Great course that we have played at quite a few times and located right next to Clayton Distillery!

Tibbetts Point Lighthouse marks the point where Lake Ontario meets the St. Lawrence River in Northern New York State. Built in 1827, the Lighthouse features the only original working Fresnel lens in Lake Ontario.Visitors can enjoy using the provided telescope to survey the Lake and River.

Singer Castle Guided tours of the Castle are offered to the public at a cost of US $14.75 per adult, children 4 and up $7.75, $12.75 for military adult and $6.75 for military children.

Multiple state Parks in the area to explore, click on the map to see what's in the area

Keewaydin State Park is on the St. Lawrence River, offering excellent boating, fishing and, during the winter, ice fishing and cross-country skiing. The sheltered marina provides dock space for seasonal and transient visitors. Overlooking the river are 48 campsites.

Wellesley Island State Park is the largest camping complex in the Thousand Islands region with 432 campsites. Within this rustic paradise, fishing is excellent--particularly for perch, smallmouth bass, pike, and muskie. To accommodate boaters, the park has a full-service marina and four boat launches. A sandy beach on the river offers great swimming and sunbathing and there is a Camp Store, Laundromat.

Grass Point State Park is on a point of land that projects into the American Channel of the St. Lawrence River, known for some of the best fishing in the country. The park is a popular spot for campers and day-users, who come to boat, swim, fish, picnic, or just to relax. There is a marina and boat launch, an area is available for games, and the sandy beach and shallow water are excellent for children.

The Village of Cape Vincent was incorporated with a population of 1218 on June 14, 1853, making it one of the younger communities in the State of New York. But our historical roots reach back to 1615 when explorer Samuel de Champlain was in the vicinity. In 1654 Jesuit Missionaries visited the native Onondaga and Iroquois Indian tribes who used the area as their hunting grounds. Dablon Point, in the Town of Cape Vincent was named after French Missionary priest Father Dablon, who worked among the Indians with Father Chaumonoit in 1655. Both England and France endeavored to monopolize the Indian trade and extend their influence among the native tribes, establishing missions, building trading posts, and settling in the area.
